Privacy policy
Last updated: [DATE]
The Arcade is run by [TRADING NAME] ("we", "us"). You can contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL]. This policy explains what information the Arcade uses and why. We have kept it to the minimum needed to run a free trial and a one-off purchase.
What we store
- A random device ID. When the Arcade first opens it creates a random code for your device. It is not linked to your name, email or any other information about you. We store it with the date your free trial started so the trial lasts 7 days.
- Purchase records. If you buy full access we store the order reference, whether it has been paid or refunded, and which device IDs it unlocks. We also store your licence key, encrypted, so that a device with full access can show it to you again.
We do not store names, email addresses, payment details or your IP address.
Payments
Purchases are handled by Stripe, who act as our reseller (merchant of record) through Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe collects your name, email address, billing address and payment details to take the payment, send your receipt, prevent fraud and meet tax rules. Their privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts the Arcade. Like any website host it processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect against attacks.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a real device, not a script, is starting a free trial. It may process technical information about your browser. We do not receive or keep that information.
- Google Fonts provide the lettering in some games, which means your browser contacts Google to download them.
On your device
The Arcade and its games save some things in your browser's storage: the device ID, your current access pass, and game settings and progress. This stays on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
No ads or tracking
The Arcade has no adverts, no analytics and no tracking cookies.
Children
The games are made for children to enjoy. We do not ask children for any personal information. Buying and restoring a purchase is behind a "grown-ups only" question, and purchases are made by an adult through Stripe.
How long we keep information
We keep device and purchase records for as long as the Arcade is available so that purchases keep working. You can ask us to delete them at any time. Include your order number if you have one.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete information about you, or object to how it is used. Email us at the address above. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
